Massif de Charlevoix: L'Histoire sans fin
Intermediate
A mountain bike trail of almost 5.5 km, a vertical drop of more than 650 meters (the highest in Quebec, by the way), very winding and very long continuous descent. With its exceptional views of nature and the majestic river, regular stops are essential. It goes without saying, these breathtaking views are part of the experience. This long descent also features successive turns, wooden walkways, bridges and banked turns (berms).
Slab City at Les Sentiers du Moulin is the longest rock slab trail in the world (and one of the most popular). Created on a single large slab of grippy granite, this 1.5 km trail is for the most seasoned cyclists. Everyone agrees that this continuous descent gives the trails in the west of the country a run for their money!
All we can say is that La Grisante ('exhilarating' in French) lives up to its name! Revamped in 2021, this well-ridden and exhilarating trail, full of berms (a.k.a banked turns), descends the mountain from summit to base. The flowing, gently descending track will be a lot of fun for cyclists of all skill levels. A real treat.
In addition to offering spectacular views, the 3 Neilson trails at Vallée Bras-du-Nord offer exceptional diversity in terms of technical challenges. Renowned worldwide, the Nielson trio is 25 km of pure adrenaline, both uphill and downhill, heightening all the senses. A sure hit.
Belzébrute at Empire 47, with its rock slabs, has everything to please intermediate and advanced cyclists. After a long climb, the descent is fluid and pleasant. One of the attractions of this trail lies in the possibility of adding extra fun by braving several obstacles. Without a doubt, Belzébrute offers plenty of excitement in a perfect skill-testing environment.
